I don’t know about you, but I’m watching the early phases of construction in the City of Bothell like a small child awaits Christmas! Perhaps it’s because I’m soooo interested in what’s happening that I’ve read more about what’s to come than any normal person likely would.

Did you know that the massive recreation of the downtown Bothell core is the biggest city redevelopment project currently happening in the state of Washington? And did you know that Bothell is being studied by folks around the country because we are building with pedestrian and environmentally-friendly standards that set the bar for sustainable community? Now that’s something to crow about!

There are lots of great resources on the City of Bothell website although some of them can take a little time to uncover. For that reason, I wanted to draw your attention to a 13 page PDF that the city put together that shows large format architectural renderings of the NEW dowtown Bothell  and how it may look when completed.

Because Bothell has designed its center to encourage an on-foot urban scene, they’ve included extra wide sidewalks and mixed use areas that lend themselves to friendly interaction.
